Brasserie type restaurant, a friendly institution at the bottom of the Cours Mirabeau with a terrace near a fountain.
On one of Aix's liveliest little squares, at the foot of the Cours Mirabeau, around its beautiful fountain, Chez Jo is an institution, an ancestral address, acclaimed by the people of Aix for a long time and without interruption. The atmosphere is guaranteed at Chez Jo, where Alexandre's father, the current owner, is surrounded by a formidable team. It's convivial, gourmet and generous. An excellent address in its original state: bistro furniture, old-fashioned decor with a wall displaying photos of artists and celebrities who have sat here, including Gérard Depardieu in his youth. Lunchtime is a rush, but so is dinner. The house has the good taste to stay open late into the evening. On the menu are the classics: tartares, lasagne, grilled meats, pizzas... The dish of the day that day, grilled skewer with pepper sauce, was a pure delight, tender and tasty. The fries were homemade. The organic wine from Domaine de Revelette, Jo's Chicoulon made for the house, is organic, affordable and very honorable. The service is smiling and efficient despite the crowds. It's all fun and games! Please note that reservations are required. And if you have to wait, the house usually offers a glass of champagne. If you don't have a reservation, take a chance - it would be a shame to miss out on such a great place!

Malgré une addition de 180 euros à 3 personnes,
( repas correct mais rapport qualité/prix discutable) aucun digestifs ne nous a été proposé (coutume dans la restauration ?!)
Pas grave en soi …
Mais lorsque nous l’avons fait remarqué gentiment au personnel, ils nous ont répondu que le patron Alexandre leur avait dit de ne pas offrir le digestif ??!!
Précision: le patron était présent lors de notre demande mais a quitté le restaurant sans même nous adresser la parole- GRANDE CLASSE …
Whouaa !! J’ai 54 ans et de part mon métier je fréquente très très souvent des restaurants et autre établissement recevant du public et j’ai jamais vu ça ….
On est passé l’accueil, le respect du client.. le respect tout court…
Bref.. Cher Alexandre vous devriez être reconnaissant de la chance que vous avez de jouir de la réputation de « CHEZ JO » pour remplir votre petit restaurant mais aux vues des notes et appréciations dégringolantes sur les réseaux, vous mériteriez peut-être que chacun passe son chemin et aille voir ailleurs le temps pour vous de prendre conscience.
