NOTRE DAME DE CANLACHE
Church with a pretty bell tower on the ruins of an old chapel in a peaceful setting away from the center of Roquefort.
The village grew up around this church, built in 1690 on the ruins of an old chapel. As far back as the 17th century, local residents liked to gather in front of the church, and the first town hall was built directly opposite. Having become a parish church around 1700, Notre-Dame de Canlache was enlarged in 1862. The church is of a rather sober design, with an attractive bell tower and campanile, framed by two magnificent palm trees that give it a slightly exotic air. Away from the modern center, it now occupies a very peaceful site.
