Eminently picturesque, it is characterized by its multi-story arches that span the streets, its staircases connecting different levels, its winding alleys, its plazas and its restaurant terraces. Built in the 16th and 17th centuries, rehabilitated in the 1950's and now enhanced, it remains a moving testimony of the past.

Every morning, the Cours Saleya welcomes the famous flower, fruit and vegetable market under its colorful tents, which fill the air with a pleasant and fragrant sweetness.
