When I politely asked what we should do instead, I was told that one of us should wait outside, and once someone finished eating, the other could come in and eat afterward. We found this quite unreasonable, so we decided to leave.
Right after we got up, a couple with a stroller sat at the same table. Shortly after, the staff told them they couldn’t stay either because they are again 3. I asked, “So what are they supposed to do leave the baby outside and come in alone?”
The staff member then raised their voice and defensively said that they don’t make the rules. That may be true, but if no one speaks up about how unreasonable these policies are or how they’re enforced, then nothing will ever change.
