A unique and timeless legend of Nice, for over a century the Negresco has been sublime on the Promenade des Anglais. In the Belle Epoque style, it is still considered the most emblematic and luxurious hotel in Nice. It reveals in each of its visitors a desire for pleasure, idleness and softness. This luxury hotel built in 1913 stands proudly on the Promenade des Anglais, facing the Mediterranean. It is often used as a backdrop for film shoots. Its immaculate neoclassical facades with their rich baroque decorations are unmistakable and have led to it being classified as a historical monument.
The Negresco remains the only hotel-museum in the city with an important collection of works of art and period furniture with more than 6,000 references and numerous collections retracing five centuries of art history with works by Dali, Vasarely... From the salons dedicated to Louis XVI or Napoleon III to the Venetian rooms and those with "street art" decoration, French works of art from the 17th century to the present day are an integral part of the setting.
The hotel now houses 102 rooms and 26 suites, each with its own unique decor. Rated 5 stars, it is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world and one of the first in France to be committed to an environmental policy by obtaining the European Ecolabel which guarantees the implementation of environmental protection measures. It is also one of the few hotels qualified as a Living Heritage Company.
