I went to this restaurant during their listed opening hours, expecting to have lunch. The staff welcomed me, presented me with the menu on the wall, and even went through the trouble of explaining and translating every single dish for me. I took my time deciding what to order, genuinely looking forward to the meal.
But just as I finally made my choice and was ready to order, they suddenly told me “Oh, sorry, we’re actually not serving lunch right now.” Excuse me? Why waste my time translating the entire menu and going through the motions if you knew from the start that the kitchen wasn’t open?
Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Either update your hours or at least inform customers before they sit down and get invested. This was nothing but a frustrating waste of time. Never coming back.
We did not eat a huge meal and we are not big drinkers, but we were treated like we were high rollers. Every dish was well thought out and perfectly seasoned with interesting ingredients. We had the lobster salad, filet of beef and white truffle linguine so we had the variety and had nothing but praises.
The wine and cocktails were well paired as well.
A highlight was the crepes suzette. A must have. Our amazing host, Alex, took care of us for the entire journey and then put on one heck of a spectacle for us - and the rest of the restaurant — preparing our scrumptious dessert.
Have yourself a culinary experience you won’t soon forget. A highlight of our Nice stay. Chef’s kiss to Alex and Bistro Gourmand!
We paid over 150 euros. Had better for far less around Provence. The price of the dishes do not match the quality of the food you get.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la nourriture qui était splendide ! Les cuissons étaient respectées, les plats bien assaisonnés.
Le gros point positif reste le service avec notamment Alexandre qui était fantastique. Ses conseils, son service, sa gentillesse, sa proximité aux clients et son professionnalisme. Nous avons fait plein de belles maisons mais il rehausse le standing de cet établissement. Nous y reviendrons sans l’ombre d’un doute !
Meat, fish, mango-prawns, foie gras starters were super tasty! Interior is quite nice and stylish. Besides they have a lovely terrace. Staff were friendly. It is a place to be back
It anyway. I Can’t recommend a restaurant who doesn’t know how to cook chicken.
Un grand bravo à toute l’équipe, et surtout à Alex, un serveur incroyable qui transforme un simple dîner en véritable moment de joie. À la fois touchant, drôle et d’une sincérité rare, il fait le show sans jamais en faire trop. On sent qu’il aime ce qu’il fait, et ça se ressent dans chaque interaction.
Côté cuisine : un pur délice ! Une vraie ode à la gastronomie française, où chaque bouchée émerveille les papilles. Une adresse à ne surtout pas manquer. Je reviendrai, c’est certain !
