Restaurant in Menton with a family atmosphere serving hearty plates of traditional cuisine with fresh products
Ambiance 100% familial for this sympathetic mentonnaise address. On the programme of this very warm establishement, a traditional Southern cuisine prepared with fresh market products: gnocchi with leeks, mixed fries, blanquette, pot au feu, risotto with asparagus and small shrimps, Tartare, hot goat cheese salad… Colourful and hearty dishes, for a very pleasant time.

I ordered a quesadilla which was burnt to ashes on one side and the cook had the audacity to bring it to me and turned it upside down, hoping maybe that I would not notice how bad it was. But from the first cut it was obvious that something black was beneath it and when I flipped it, voila! I politely asked for another one and what came after was quite undercooked this time. They somehow concluded that if I don’t eat burnt food, I should be served something undone. The only thing it had in common with a real quesadilla was the *presence* of the tortilla. But it was soggy and could only be eaten with a fork, and instead of cheese, it had a white, tasteless sauce.
I am not a picky eater and this was the first time I EVER had to return food. In a restaurant with a minimum of common sense, the right thing to do would have been to apologize and offer something on the house, but the server only waited for the tip at the end.
Congratulations! This is the worst place I have eaten in my entire life!
