In the heart of Poitiers' Couronneries district, the Secours Populaire solidarity bookshop has been welcoming readers since 2011. Over 18,000 titles are on offer, thanks to donations from individuals and media libraries. Novels, comics, fine books, CDs or DVDs: all genres are represented, at very low prices, from 20 centimes to 3 euros, up to 6 euros for exceptional works. A cosy corner awaits children, who are always keen to hear stories. Open every afternoon from Monday to Friday, the bookshop gives a second life to books and, above all, supports the work of Secours Populaire: each sale finances solidarity projects for the most disadvantaged. A great way to combine reading and solidarity.
