This mill has been renovated to its original state by the Association les Gens de Cherves
One of the last mills! Why Tol? Probably for Anatole, one of the last millers. Renovated identically by the Association les Gens de Cherves, its tower of 5.50 m in diameter and about ten meters high is enthroned in the middle of the wheat fields with two wings of 13 m long aligned on an axis with a very medieval mechanical part. Inside, the spinning wheel drives a gear called the lantern, the two millstones of two tons turn to grind the grain... and since then, visitors sing again: "miller, you sleep, your mill goes too fast... too hard".

Un si joli village
Cherves est riche de son histoire et est un village très animé. Château, moulin, musée, il y a de quoi s'occuper et mieux connaître le Haut-Poitou !
