DOMAINE BILLAUD-CHAMBON
The estate is rooted in one of the appellation's few islands of clay-limestone soil. This demanding soil produces exceptional cuvées.
Currently undergoing organic conversion, the estate, founded in 2023, extends over the slopes of Montord, and is run by two enthusiasts. These are the vineyards of Quentin, a winegrower for four generations, and Anthony, an expert in viticultural management with a degree from HEC. They produce a refined, precise white that reflects its terroir (70% chardonnay, 30% tressallier), aged for 12 months in demi-muids, and an elegant gamay pinot noir. Each 820-liter barrel is made from noble oak from the Tronçais forest, resulting in exceptional cuvées that are a must-see.
