JARDINS DU CHATEAU DE SAINT-LOUP-SUR-THOUET
Gardens created in the century as a backdrop to the château at Saint-Loup-Lamairé.
The park layout of this 17th-century château was designed in the pure tradition of the French gardens of Versailles. It is organized around several areas of use and ornament, including a kitchen garden, boulingrin, quincunx, orchard, orangery courtyard, flower and box garden, water gardens, arboretum and forest park, arranged on either side of the canal and along the Thouet river. Several buildings are scattered around: orangery, menagerie, ice house, dovecote... Truly splendid! The park and gardens have been awarded the Jardin Remarquable label.

One of the things we loved about it was how moody and atmospheric it feels—especially with its massive, old fireplace and rich, deep history. There’s a real soul to the place.
The ceremony in front of the Chateau was absolutely breathtaking. The grandness of the venue and the incredible surroundings had everyone feeling speechless. It’s the perfect place for couples who want something dramatic, timeless, and unforgettable.
