This quaint pier is housed in an old market-garden farmhouse

Alexandre is a local boy. His family's pier has a charm all of its own. He and his team will take you on a tour of the wild marshes, a particularly well-preserved playground with over a hundred kilometers of waterways around Saint-Hilaire-la-Palud. 2 augustus hebben wij een tocht mogen maken door dit gebied. Samen met onze gondelier. Een jonge knul, die gelukkig voor ons, de Engelse taal een beetje machtig was. Op een aandoenlijke manier heeft hij ons rond gevaren door een zeer mooi gebied. Helaas zaten wij in een verkeerde periode daar, met veel regen en wind, zodat wij bijna geen vogels konden spotten. Om alles goed te maken heeft de jongeman op het laatst van onze toer een vlammetje in het water gemaakt. Jongeman dank je wel voor deze rondleiding.
