THE DWELLING OF HERCULES
Residence / Private mansion
Recommended
It was in this ancient tavern of the sixteenth century that the tragic evening of May 6, 1603, declared itself the first case of plague recognized in Niort. The great plague was going to exterminate a good portion of the niortaise population in the next seven months. Seven years of work have restored a soul to this place and a place for pilgrims, merchants and chevaliers. Now museum on niortaise history through works of art and remains found during excavations.
