Coutières's Permanent Environmental Initiatives Centre (CPIE) is very active throughout the Gâtine. The employees who make it up are all year-round raising awareness of the wealth of the local environment. The interventions with schoolchildren are the most numerous, but we can also take part in various nature events offered in particular in the summer at the Lac du Cebron de Saint-Loup-Lamairé (natural site managed by the general council) or in the garden of the Sens Senses.
