DUPUY-MESTREAU REGIONAL MUSEUM

Built in 1738, this magnificent mansion stands on the banks of the Charente. Formerly the seat of the prefecture, it is now a museum housing a rich collection of regional art, as well as paintings, jewelry and a reconstruction of a peasant's home, immersing visitors in life in Saintonge at the beginning of the ^20th century.
