Don't expect a wilderness and desert. This highly tourist site, located at the end of the island and at the foot of the lighthouse of Chassiron, beats records of attendance during the season. Fortunately, dolphin staff is there to respond to an equally important demand every year and to distribute ice cones, refreshing cocktails and well-deserved coffees. The hotel, ideally situated opposite La Rochelle and the bridge of the island of Ré, also offers rooms with balcony overlooking the ocean or the lighthouse to visitors passing through. They can enjoy the terrace of the restaurant beaten by the sea spray and enjoy a good sea sauerkraut, the speciality of the house, a soup of fish or mussels-fries.
