Did you know that the abbey of Sablonceaux was surrounded by a 70 hectare vineyard? After visiting this magnificent monument, take a break at the Domaine de la Chauvillière located in the Bon Bois cognac appellation. The Hauselmann family has been working there since the 1950s and produces the two alcohols that are well known to the people of Charente (cognac and pineau) but also, since the 1980s, local Charente wines (chardonnay and sauvignon for the whites, merlot for the rosés and reds). Note: the estate has specialized in the vinification of chardonnay for over 30 years
