Bar-restaurant lounge with terrace, managed by Jean-Marie Zimmermann, master restaurateur, on the beach of Pontaillac in Royan.

This restaurant is best known for its prime location on Pontaillac beach. On the seafront, in an iodized atmosphere, you'll sit on the terrace, watching the sea bathers and enjoying the sunset. Although the room is a little noisy, the warm decor makes it a very pleasant place to treat yourself to breakfast (or brunch on weekends). The menu offers a wide choice of sharing boards, tapas, meats and fish. In the afternoons, from 3 p.m. onwards, we serve homemade crêpes.

Le service est de pire en pire ici. La qualité n'a jamais été folle pour le prix mais pour un pauvre brunch on refuse de vous remplacer des viennoiseries pour du pain car "c'est compliqué à gérer en cuisine", la serveuse vient demander à nous encaisser alors qu'elle nous voit en train de manger et quand on lui explique en partant lors de l'encaissement que c'est très maladroit et impoli de sa part: aucune excuse. Et le brunch en lui-même est plutôt médiocre, aucune saveur dans les œufs, yaourts jus et tout le reste. C'est triste pour un restaurant avec un si beau cadre.

Bon restaurant ,malgré des prix trop élevés pour ce qu'on y mange. Malheureusement, comme dans nombreuses stations balnéaires, on y paye surtout le cadre. Je recommande tout de même.
