COLBERT PLACE
A square lined with imposing trees, light-fronted houses and a triumphal arch fountain in Rochefort.
World-famous since Jacques Demy brought it to light in his cult film Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Place Colbert continues to attract the curious and tourists eager to follow in the footsteps of Catherine Deneuve and Françoise Dorléac. This large square, lined with imposing trees and houses with light-colored facades and tiled roofs, is typical of Charente squares. Come and enjoy a coffee break or lunch on the terrace of one of the bistros, gazing at the fountain in the shape of a triumphal arch.
