The aim of this museum is to help protect the Charente estuary and highlight the heritage of the coastline. It is located in the village of Port-des-Barques, an oyster-farming town facing Île Madame. In old oyster huts, you can learn about oysters and their environment, while observing the tools used by the gardeners of the sea. The association also plays a key role in raising awareness among fishermen.
