Ecomuseum where you can discover the history of salt on the island of Oleron through an interpretation trail and thematic exhibitions

This natural setting, which has been awarded the Echappées Nature label, provides an opportunity to learn more about the history of salt farming on Oléron. A number of self-guided huts invite you to learn more about the workings of a salt marsh and how salt is harvested. Boat trips offer another view of the marsh landscape. Numerous events take place every year: fête de la nature, heritage days... You can even harvest salt with the salt-maker!
