ARCHEAUNIS

For over 25 years, this association of students, researchers and enthusiasts from La Rochelle has been promoting archaeological activities in the Aunis region. Archéaunis publishes numerous publications, a biannual newsletter and excavation reports on the archaeology of Aunis and other regions. Above all, it offers numerous conferences: a medieval port in the Rochefort marshes at Beaugeay, Petra, the wonder of Jordan, and field trips. The library (open by appointment) contains over 700 books and magazines. Membership of this association gives you access to outings and conferences, keeps you up to date with archaeological news from the Aunis region, and entitles you to two issues of the "Lettre d'Archéaunis" magazine.
