This is the Roche branch of the association which works for prevention and screening, and encourages cancer research. It is one of 103 committees operating in France, which undertake to inform the public about the various cancers that kill every year: prostate, breast, lung, colon, skin... According to the French National Cancer Institute (INCA), in 2015, the number of new cases of cancer in mainland France was estimated at 210,882 for men and 173,560 for women. The number of cancer deaths was estimated at 149,456 in 2015.

Alongside this office, there are two distribution centres in La Rochelle and the Bongraine district. Over volunteers have been running this service for more than years and have seen more and more people passing around. This association, a member of the associative health care house, is aimed at people facing psychological problems - depression… - and/or solitude but also their friends. It warmly welcomes them, listens to them and tries to create friendships between these people through various free activities - once membership and against a few euros: English courses, drawing, painting, singing, playing games, theatre, cups, discussions, outings… So don't hesitate to take the step.

The Association for the right on the initiative economic- ADIE- is a humanitarian association of social mutual aid.
