The Chambre de Métiers et de l'Artisanat is located in the heart of the Minimes district. Its main objectives are to promote the craft industry, encourage vocational training for company directors and promote apprenticeships. It has two training centers, one near Jonzac and the other in Lagord. The latter, built two years ago, will in a few years' time house a section dedicated to mechanical engineering. Both campuses offer training in craft trades, from CAP to BTS.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is located in the Lafond district, not far from the town center. The role of the CCIs is to represent the interests of the economy in their area, and they all have the same objective: the economic development of their territories. They are involved in the creation, development and transfer of businesses, as well as in initial and continuing training via schools and training centers.
