CAVALCADE DE LA ROCHELLE

"Nice weather in June, plenty of grain"... and smiles! This year, the Cavalcade will once again illuminate the streets of La Rochelle. Forget the month of May and its meteorological whims, this event, which begins the Rocky summer, starts in the first days of June. Many inhabitants are in the streets to see the floats parade and to see Miss La Rochelle and her dolphins whose chariot is eagerly awaited! But the Cavalcade is above all a parade of colours and music which starts on Saturday afternoon with a lot of animations and continues in the night with the famous parade. The floats gather at the Place de Verdun before the departure at 10pm. The procession will follow the following route: rue du Palais, rue Chef de Ville, rue Réaumur, rue Léonce Vieljeux, quai Duperré, quai Valin, place Commandant de la Motte Rouge, Avenue du Général de Gaulle. On Sunday, the parade resumes, but this time it takes place at 2:30 pm, for a departure at 3:15 pm, under a deluge of confetti. The show is free and festive, the opportunity to have a good time with the family!
