La Rochelle

This place is a new place to meet André, a husband of Martine who owns the library, which is only a few dozen metres away. In his charming workshop, which is still open as a welcome sign, André has been working for 15 years to manufacture his books like a goldsmith. His specialty: art of the th century, poetry and classical literature and its clients the major museums and cultural centres of France. If you take the small rue des Templar, it will offer you to acquire for the very modest sum of 10 or 20 euros (depending on the format) magnificent reproductions of old posters… and rare: views of La Rochelle and its surroundings, maps and plans, botanical or zoologiques boards with the faithful colours and printed on vergé paper of beautiful quality. But André is also an artist at his time and offers beautiful photos of the region he calls "aqua-real", printed of course in the best way. This is a very original idea of remembrance or gift.
