The beaches of La Couarde, with their crystal-clear waters and fine sand, are ideal for beach water sports enthusiasts.
If this village, located in the heart of the island, is known for its authenticity and flower-filled lanes, it also boasts some 5 km of beaches! All different, each one is a bathers' delight. It's true that they're often cited as the most beautiful on the island, with their fine sand. There's a beach for everyone! Families head for Peu Ragot, close to the town center and markets. Surfers head for La Pergola, a well-known spot, while water sports enthusiasts head for Plage des Prises, equipped with an access ramp and sanitary facilities.

La Plage
Située entre le Bois Plage et La Passe cette plage est réputée pour ces 5 km de sable fin à l’abri des dunes et pins maritimes. L’accessibilité se fait par le bourg de la Couarde ou par les nombreux sentiers piétons et protégés en bordure de la route. Cette plage est reconnue pour sa tranquillité et sécurité pour la baignade. Nombreux spots de surfs, écoles de voile, paddle, kitesurf et poste de secours. Endroit idéal pour les familles.
