A fort you can visit by boat, catamaran or cruise ship, and get up close to the silhouette of Père Fouras
This stone vessel is one of the symbols of the Charente-Maritime region. Although it's not possible to visit it, you can still get up close and try to catch a glimpse of the silhouette of Père Fouras. Departures by sailboat, catamaran or small cruiser are mainly from Fouras, at the Pointe de la Fumée, or from Port des Barques, at the Fontaine Lupin. Departures are also organized from Rochefort, La Rochelle or Ile de Ré. If you're on the witty side, it's also possible to catch a glimpse of this monument while enjoying a stopover on the Ile d'Aix.

C'est une belle balade autour du Fort. c'est impressionnant à voir d'aussi proche. Le seul souci c'est qu'on ne puisse pas le visiter!

A faire sans hésiter
Ballade en bateau pour aller admirer le fort boyard. Très belle ballade. Nous apprenons beaucoup de choses intéressantes avec le guide. On s'approche suffisamment proche pour bien le voir.
