Built to protect the Rochefort Arsenal, the fort now offers guided tours of its exterior.
Like other forts, this edifice was built at the end of the 17th century to protect the Rochefort Arsenal. Remodeled after an English attack, it was then sold by the French state before being bought by a private owner. Today, only guided tours of the fort's exterior are organized by the Association des Amis de la Pointe. It is also possible to attend events such as a marine storytelling show, a concert or an introductory workshop... The more adventurous won't hesitate to spend a night in the fort by candlelight!

au bord de la charente on découvre ce fort encore bien conservé on devine facilement sa fonction très défensive, c'est une découverte de paysage mais aussi de passé historique
