Located on the heights of this pretty seaside resort, the Thalassothérapie has undergone a magnificent renovation, transforming itself into a Marine Spa. As part of the Ibis Styles Hotel, it offers spaces dedicated to well-being and relaxation. Freely accessible for a half-day of treatments, the marine area is simply magnificent and offers the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries. The program includes an outdoor river and whirlpool, swimming pool, hammam and sauna and, most incredible of all, an outdoor pool and solarium with that radiant ocean view. The place has been designed to be a real cocoon and also features a beauty area with à la carte treatments, a hairdressing salon and a boutique for those wishing to buy swimwear and cosmetics. The spa can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: from the Bien-Être discovery (affusion scrub, body mask and remineralizing jelly bath) to the Escale Océane, which combines relaxation and toning with 9 treatments. Hotel La Grande Terrasse also boasts a NUXE spa, ideal for an exceptional half-day with a menu of treatments under this brand, which uses cosmetics of natural origin. A variety of massages are offered, each one inviting you to let go: plantar relaxation, Californian massage, facials, radiance and those using precious plants and flowers, such as the Nirvanesque treatment. For unrivalled comfort, opt for the Nuxe suite, a veritable bubble of softness overlooking the ocean.
Our room was in poor condition (chunks of the shower that fell, hair dryer which breaks using it, shower curtain salts...). We did not dine on site, so I can not Pa judge the restaurant, but the small, was varied, salty, sweet.
The spa, I took a plantar reflexology treatment which was gotten me by a liberal practician who works a few hours in the centre and with a cabinet in Angoulême. Excellent technique, it was very nice and nice, very cala, I was delighted. However, the treatment resembled at €79 a hospital, no atmosphere, candles, a little light for a treatment.
My friend had reserved a massage with fragrant hot oil. It had only normal massage, oil without smell is served in all the spa. When it has told manager (after checked in the menu that it had not been wrong), has the manager (very nice) tell him that was on the training practician, and that it had not been formed by modellings with hot oil... misused, not? also 79€, I believe.
The rest was icy, we jingled 5 minute then sums rebuilt in the room. No tea or coffee as is normally after a treatment.
Hammam and jacuzzi are in the pool, so not really quiet and calm as I hoped for it. And that is not shown in photo.
In short, a good weekend because I was my girlfriend, but I will not go back. You can find better cheaper. The price and the website make us await services that are not the height.
