HALLS

You feel very small when you're under the big halls of Villebois-Lavalette. The impressive framework looks as majestic as the columns that support it. The halls are enclosed between streets and alleys, and their surface area is such that the street surrounding them leaves very little room for traffic. As high as the buildings that surround them, the halles seem to be a real building in the heart of the city. Formerly the site of an important livestock fair in the region, they are still used today for the Saturday morning market and other cultural events.
