THE MILL OF VERTEUIL

This mill is a must in the visit of Verteuil! This 17th century structure is still in working order and is operated by Marie-Ange and François Lancestre who use their flour to make and sell their bread and their delicious puff pastry brioche. It is in this exceptional setting, at the foot of the castle of the Count of La Rochefoucauld and on the banks of the Charente, that the couple has set up an exceptional inn-tea room, renowned for their brioche.
