SUAVE CASTLE

Located between Roumazières and Chasseneuil, the massive Château de Suaux will delight lovers of architecture steeped in history. Built in 1585 by the Marquis de Chesse, this building features an arched porch, a more martial-looking corner bretèche, a dovecote with a remarkable long frieze and a fireplace with ^16th and ^17th century frescoes. The building is now home to the Town Hall, so visiting hours (free) correspond to the Town Hall's opening hours.
