BUREAU NATIONAL INTERPROFESSIONNEL DU COGNAC
BNIC is an interprofessional organization. It is a place for consultation and decision-making for all professionals in the cognac sector.
The BNIC, composed of viticulture and trading, is an entity whose collective is central to the economic development of Cognac and in accordance with the name. It thus represents the general interest of the 4 600 wine growers and 270 traders.
The BNIC has the particularity of exercising, alongside the tasks assigned to all interprofessions, a public service mission on behalf of the State: control of the aging of Cognac's spirits. In addition, the BNIC is the only wine-growing interprofession recognized as a Defense and Management Organization, and ensures the follow-up of AOC cognac's specifications, thereby supporting its mission to protect the appellation.
