The two Meukow brothers, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav, arrived in Cognac in 1850 at the request of Tsar Alexander II of Russia. Cognac was in short supply at court and the situation had to be remedied. The two brothers finally set up a commercial office in the Charente town in 1862, thus creating the Meukow company. Supported by the regional elite and appreciated by the great ones on the international scene, the brand developed rapidly and was crowned with the success it is known for. The parent company opens its doors to you and offers you to see its most beautiful treasures.
