MAISON RÉMY MARTIN
Historic house with distillery in Juillac-le-Coq
A stopover at the historic house is a must, to walk in the footsteps of the founders and cellar masters who gave this house its now world-famous name. A tour of the house and its cellars takes you through three centuries of history, ending with a cocktail and cognac tasting accompanied by gourmet bites. If you're in the mood for fine dining, Chef Romuald Feger will prepare a refined lunch at the Club, the house's table d'hôtes. For four hours, you'll be treated to excellence on your plate, using fresh produce from the market, and in your glasses. The house also organizes workshops on the culture of cognac, cocktail creations, discoveries of exceptional cognacs and an introduction to Louis XIII, one of the house's flagships.
A visit to the Merpins production site, with its precious reserve of Fine Champagne cognac brandy, completes the tour. The company also owns a distillery in Juillac-le-Coq, which can be visited by appointment, and the family-owned Domaine du Grollet.
