PEDESTRIAN CIRCUITS TO DISCOVER THE OLD TOWN
Tours proposed by the tourist office to discover the Rabayne hotel which dates from the century and the Boulestin house.
Start by going to the Cognac tourist office to get a map of the walks in the town. Then choose your route: the orange route entitled "Belle Epoque route" invites you to discover Cognac in the 19th century, the blue one entitled "parcours du Roy" takes you even further back in time to the 16th and 17th centuries. The whole family participates in the walk, the children will be able to look for the totems and colourful signs that line the city for an architectural treasure hunt. During the blue route, you will admire the hotel of Rabayne which dates from the 16th century, it has a salamander on the facade, emblem of Francis I and a quotation in Latin, do not forget your notebook to note it and translate it ... As for the orange route, it will allow you to discover the very ornate facade of the Boulestin house, whose decorations are of classical inspiration.
