SAINT-DENIS CHURCH
This Latin cross-shaped church, with an apse facing north-east/south-west, has been a listed monument since 1910.
The Latin cross-shaped church, with its apse oriented north-east/south-west, was listed as a Monument Historique in 1910. It was rebuilt in the 16th century to plans drawn up by architect Jehan Valon at the request of Jean VIII de Créquy. The church's magnificent carved cross-arches and 44 hanging keystones, also carved, depict either saints or coats of arms. With its position overlooking the city, the church seems to defend and protect the town... It's definitely worth a visit!
