It was the only brewery in Picardy for a long time. Pierre De Clerk acquired it in 1928. It was a brewery-malterie. The owner came from a long line of farmers-brewers located in Hondeghem near Hazebrouck in the north. From generation to generation, the brewery has evolved considerably. Large investments have been made in recent years to produce low fermentation beers (original in the larger region). Tasting beers while initially, he came from the vats only from table beers.
