L'échiquier palois is a dynamic club that shows off its vitality. It is one of the biggest clubs in Aquitaine, with a fine record of tournament victories, a number of players qualified for the French Championships and even a young 2022 world champion in the under-8 age group! The club has over 200 members and is committed to a policy of training and initiation with the "classes en ligne" project, which enables all the pupils of the agglomeration community, i.e. over 1,500 youngsters, to be educated during school hours. The water stadium includes a learning pool, a play pool with bubble seats, a counter-current river and hydromassage beds, all of which opens onto a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. At the MJC, the Rock'n'roll Passion association offers weekly rock'n'roll classes all year round. This long-established rock'n'roll class in Pau offers quality lessons at an attractive price. This long-established club, founded in 1954, has proved its worth. Its objective today is not only to train competitors, but above all to teach this martial art from an early age. An Eveil judo section is perfectly orchestrated for 4- and 5-year-olds by state-certified instructors who also run classes for young and old alike, focusing on learning techniques, but also and above all on self-control: controlling violence, falls, balance, expression...
