Founded by Jacques Tonnet in 1797, this bookshop in Pau, which holds the LIR (Librairie Indépendante de Référence) label, is one of the oldest independent bookshops in France. It offers a wide range of books, including school textbooks, romance novels, thrillers, philosophical essays and the latest Prix Femina! Nearly 67,000 references are spread over three levels. A large section devoted to comics and manga, as well as a variety of nomadic products such as smartphones, tablets, computers and connected watches, are also on offer. Relaxation areas are accessible on the1st level, including a 65 m² meeting forum with activities linked to current cultural events, book signings, debates, a silver photo gallery, a drinks dispenser...
