A unique command room in Doullens, with stained-glass windows and murals recounting the First World War.
The Single Command Room is a historic site linked to the First World War. It was here that General Foch was appointed commander-in-chief on March 26, 1918, in response to the gravity of the situation on the front. A breach in the Allied lines, Franco-English tensions and the approach of the Germans from Amiens called for this emergency decision. The room features a stained-glass window and murals commemorating this crucial event, as well as the command table.
