Abbey full of history, with a park and a remarkable cellar, in Pontpoint, which regularly welcomes beautiful animations.
Founded by Philip IV the Fair in 1309, the abbey has had a tortuous history. It was occupied by the Poor Clares before being sold during the Revolution, then became a military hospital during the Great War, and a Nazi prison camp a few years later. It was saved from abandonment in 1984 when the Old Manor Club association took it over. Today the visit is pleasant, in the cloister and the park of 6 hectares. Our favorite is the cellar of 500m2 with cross vaults in Gothic style! A must see!
