Created in 1972 on the initiative of the Historical Society of Villeneuve-d'Ascq and the Mélantois, the Musée du Terroir is housed in a typical 17th century square farmhouse built of brick and stone from Lezennes. Renovated in 2012, it preserves and exhibits manual or tractor-drawn farming objects from before 1950, and everything related to domestic and craft life in rural areas. Each room exhibits objects related to a specific theme: interior of the beginning of the century, workshop of a clog maker, a carpenter, a blacksmith ... Fun!

Des pièces authentiques ⭐ qui manquent parfois de descriptif (auteur/autrice, créateur/créatrice, dates, matériau), complété par des anecdotes & commentaires audio. Selon l'affluence & la vigilance des parents (????) les espaces peuvent sembler exiguës mais l'agencement ouvert permet de circuler & revenir sur ses pas si besoin.
