Petit Futé's opinion on REGIONAL MUSEUM

Created in 1972 on the initiative of the Historical Society of Villeneuve-d'Ascq and the Mélantois, the Musée du Terroir is housed in a typical 17th-century square farmhouse built of brick and stone from Lezennes. Renovated in 2012, it preserves and exhibits manual or tractor-drawn farming objects from before 1950, and everything related to domestic and craft life in the countryside. Each room exhibits objects relating to a specific theme: a turn-of-the-century interior, a clogmaker's workshop, a carpenter's workshop, a blacksmith's workshop... Fun!

Opening time and information on REGIONAL MUSEUM

Annual closure in August and during the school holidays in December. Open from Monday to Friday and on public holidays from 1.30 pm to 5 pm. Last tour departure at 4:00 p.m. Open free of charge on the first Sunday of the month, from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Free up to 12 years old (free for: Heritage Days and Museum Night). Adult: 4 € (2 (reduced rate)). Group : 3 €. Special package for birthdays. Guided tour (audio-guided).
