This castle surrounded by water is very photogenic on the outside.

Surrounded by water, the castle is initially very photogenic outside. It was constantly enlarged and restored by its lineages of occupants: the Orgemonts, the Montmorencies, the Condés and above all the Duc d'Aumale, who endowed it with priceless collections of works of art, such as Nicolas Poussin's The Massacre of the Innocents. The Cabinet des Livres, one of the richest libraries in Europe, contains some 13,000 volumes and manuscripts. A visit to the large princely apartments and the private apartments of the Duke and Duchess of Aumale is a delight.

visite incontournable de ce magnifique chateau dans un cadre exceptionnel; son parc , ses grandes écuries , sa foret et son champ de course.Ses atouts majeurs ; la bibliothèque , ses immenses galeries de tableau couvrant tout les courants de la peinture , ses miniatures ; les riches heures du Duc de BERRY.

On ne peut être que fier d'admirer cette prouesse d'architecture. Quel beau patrimoine français ! Il est admirable aussi bien d'extérieur que d'intérieur. Et quelle belle collection de peintures ! Quelle belle bibliothèque ! Grandiose ce château et très représentatif de notre histoire !

Le château est intéressant à visiter. J'ai particulièrement aimé la bibliothèque qui est assez impressionnante.
Cependant, ce que j'ai le plus apprécié est l'extérieur, ainsi que le parc qui l'entoure.

Ce chateau de par son domaine imposant est magnifique surtout la partie la plus ancienne avec ces douves. une balade le long de celle-ci le soir est des plus plaisant. Le château est très bien entretenu et mérite d'être visité. Je vous recommande de prendre une journée pour la visite du chateau et une autre pour celle du parc.
