This forest of 2 837 hectares consists of three-quarters of beech and oak trees. On the numerous marked trails for walking, you will also find some ash, merisiers, charms, birch, trees, and some conifers. Get a map to admire the botanical trail, the hill of Mont-Caesar, which reaches 138 m on the left bank of Thérain at the level of the hamlet of Froidmont, as well as the four remarkable trees of the forest: Saint Lucia oak at the Carrefour junction, the chandelier oak and the smooth elm at the carrefour junction of the aulnes, and the beech of the Croix-Lecomte next to the Forestière forest house. Wild boar and deer hunting are open from October to February.
