Built around 1120 by Gaston IV le Croisé, the commander's residence, hospital of Aubertin's hamlet is located at the entrance to Laring wood, a thick forest once infested by wolves and bandits. Today the building is listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments, it can be visited freely with in addition exhibitions throughout the year. You can enjoy this passage to the Commandery to discover the Romanesque church of the same period dedicated to St. Blaise with medieval sculptures that evoke biblical scenes and beside the cemetery with some discoidal steles dating from the thirteenth century. Opposite the church, the House of Jurançon contributes to the tourist attraction of the place.
