St. Julian's Cathedral in the center of the city, home to some of the world's most beautiful medieval stained glass windows

The Cathedral of St. Julian sits majestically in the centre of the city. It was named in the 9th century after the first evangelizer of the city, Julian. Inside the cathedral, a stained glass window with his image represents him; his relics are in the sanctuary. St Julian's Cathedral has some of the most beautiful medieval stained glass windows in the world, such as the Ascension window. You can also admire one of the peaks of Western Gothic painting: the Concert of 47 Angel Musicians, which was painted in the 14th century on the vaults of the chapel.

Imposante nef romane . La cathédrale possède l'une des plus anciennes peintures sur verre d'Europe, le vitrail de l'ascension.

La cathédrale est magnifique avec ses voûtes, ses vitraux et sa nef et son style roman et gothique mélangé. Dans la crypte, il y a le tombeau de saint Julien.
La cathédrale Saint Julien se trouve entre le centre-ville du Mans et le vieux Mans incontournable.
La visite guidée est enrichissante.
L'été il y a les Chimères et ses Anges Musiciens, superbement représentés...

La cathédrale magnifique par ses voûtes vertigineuses et ses vitraux splendides ne doit pas faire oublier , un peu à l'écart, la vieille église de Notre Dame du Pré remarquable pour ses châpiteaux romans, son entourage verdoyant et son porche bien utile en cas de pluie. . Dans la crypte, on peut voir le tombeau de saint Julien.
Les deux églises sont ainsi reliées et les visites complémentaires.
