"I'm not a chocolatier, pastry chef, ice cream maker or anything else. I'm a baker," explains Richard Ruan, owner of the Carmes bakery and of a new store on rue Corneille. A sentence that says a lot about the baker's mastery of what he offers to customers. The products are of high quality, and as in any good restaurant, the less choice there is, the better the products. Crispy breads and baguettes, light and airy croissants, chocolate fondants, and delicious brioches, all at very reasonable prices. Our favorite: the cannelés, baked to perfection! To visit at lunchtime, for a quality meal on the go!

Au niveau hygiène cela laisse à désirer.......le gâteaux n'ont aucune protection tout le monde bave dessus....pour le pain très bon mais ils rendent la monnaie et servent le pain à pleine main!!! A revoir le service d'hygiène !

En plus du pain, qui est excellent, je craque pour :
- le flan qui a un goût particulier que l'on trouve nulle part ailleurs à Angers
- les craquants qui ressemblent un peu aux galettes que font les religieuses en Espagne.
L'une des meilleures boulangeries d'Angers.
